Jordan and Ashley have really been into Legos lately. They wanted to save their money and buy a really big Lego house for their Friends Legos. At the same time, their teacher, Mrs. Martin, came up with a fun idea to get the students to write persuasive letters in class. They had to write a letter to convince her that one of them should be the winner to receive a new set of Legos. Then they were hung up in the wall and Mrs. Martin asked for votes. While Jordan and Ashley didn't win, they did write good letters. Ashley's Letter Jordan's Letter

The girls went with Greg to his Mom's house in Wilburton for the weekend to celebrate Easter. I stayed behind and worked on school work. Thanks to my mom for making their Easter dresses.

So while everyone else was gone, I managed to get myself locked out of the house! Our front door has been messed up for awhile and you can't actually open it very well. I went out to get the mail and as soon as the door closed I panicked. I immediately knew what I had done! Greg wouldn't be back for well over 24 hours. I had nothing to do but pray. Thankfully God looked down on me with mercy and after fiddling with the door for about five minutes, it finally opened. My other accomplishment while they were gone was totally cleaning out Jordan and Ashley's room. I dumped everything out and started over. It was exhausting, but it felt really good to hear their excitement when they saw the clean room. Now, if only it could STAY clean!!

I thought the odometer reading for our Chevy Traverse was pretty cool when I got home today: 12345. We got the car right before Thanksgiving. We put about 160 miles on it each week.

Jordan and Ashley had a field trip to the Great Plains Museum in Lawton.

I was inducted into the education honor society of Kappa Delta Pi.

It rained all day in town. I planned to get a picture of the rain gauge and all the rain we must have gotten. I thought I would even add the 3/4 inch we'd received the night before that Greg had already dumped out. That would give a true account of all the glorious rain we'd received. However, when I got out to the rain gauge, it was empty! I was so disappointed. Why did Lawton get all of that rain and we didn't get any. So, determined to still take a picture of the 3/4 inch, I poured water in. I then realized why we didn't appear to have received any rain all day. The rain gauge seems to have sprung a leak right at the very base!! We seem to have sprung a leak!

Greg planted more tulips this year and they have been absolutely gorgeous!!

Wal-Mart gave our church their leftovers from last Easter and we kept them in storage all year. Today they gave out Easter baskets to every child through sixth grade that came to church. Plus they gave baskets to all the children in a nearby school and a few more to other organizations. What a blessing to be able to do that. All of the kids were so excited.
