Jordan was finally home for one of our Sunday School game nights. She and I were so excited. Both of us love playing games. Garrett normally provides the majority of the board games, but this time he also brought his Mrs. Pac Man video game. Like literally. He used a dolly, but it in the van, and wheeled it in to set up in the corner. Wow! I didn't have a chance to play, but I wanted to.
Jordan brought Root and got six of us to play with her. She really likes that game. It is VERY intimidating though. The rules are literally a BOOK. I played the vagabond, which is the character I played the last time for her graduation so I already knew a little about what I was doing. Jordan worked with everyone else to understand their character. It took us forever to really get going. Everyone seemed to like it, but it's a lot of work to play. By the end of the game, I feel like I could play pretty easily now. At least the character that I have. I'm starting to get the gist of the entire game. It's not my favorite game though. I feel like it's one of those games where you spend more time internally planning your strategy and don't really get to interact with the other people playing. I prefer the games where everyone is working together to solve something or where it's an easy enough game that you can talk while playing it.
I really want to host a game night at our house with our friends again. Not sure when. It's a lot of fun to get together though.
